Q: What are the age requirements?
2
Students aged 14–15 must have a parent or guardian enrolled in the class with them. Students aged 16 and older may participate with a signed waiver.
Q: Will I be ready to take a welding certification test after a weekend or week-long class?
3
Our weekend and week-long classes are a great way to build a strong foundation in welding and develop essential skills in a short time. Many students leave with the ability to strike an arc, run consistent beads, and understand proper technique.
However, welding certifications are designed to prove a welder’s ability to meet strict industry code standards. Achieving that level of proficiency typically takes 250–300+ hours of dedicated, hands-on welding per process.
Think of our short-term courses as your first step toward certification—giving you the knowledge, confidence, and safe practices you’ll need as you continue to train. With consistent practice after your class, you can work toward certification at your own pace, and we’re here to guide you when you’re ready for that next step.
Q: Do you help with job placement after the class?
4
Our classes are geared toward home hobbyists, makers, and DIY’ers who want to learn welding for personal projects. If your goal is to start a welding career, we can recommend local full-time training programs that provide the 750–1,100 hours of hands-on experience typically needed for an entry-level position in the industry.
While we don’t offer direct job placement, our courses give you a strong foundation in welding safety, techniques, and equipment use—skills that will serve you well if you choose to pursue further training. We’re happy to connect you with resources and guidance to help you take the next step toward professional certification and employment.
At this time, we do not offer financial aid, tuition assistance, or reimbursement programs.
